The restless spirit of Lady Mary, perpetually roams the chambers and corridors of Chillingham Castle. Is this her quest, in the forlorn hope of welcoming her erstwhile husband, Ford Grey back to her side?

What is known, are the artefacts of the haunting of this great lady. Abandoned by her husband in 1682, and left with a child to provide for, her spirit evermore announces it’s presence to the unwary initially by the sudden scent of roses, something resembling a posy that were carried by women and girls of the time to hide unpleasant smells that may linger. Once this scent is identified, this is very often accompanied by a chill.
