Chillingham Castle is a truly unique setting for the most wonderful weddings. With a licence to hold marriages, the castle can host ceremonies as well as celebrations.
The Elizabethan and Mediaeval State Rooms have housed many historic wedding feasts, and the Courtyard has seen all that colourful pageantry. The South Lawn fountains and the glorious Italian
Garden are ideal for lasting wedding photographs. The garden was laid out in 1828 by Sir Jeffry Wyatville, fresh from his triumphs at Windsor Castle.
The castle provides a setting for a truly memorable occasion and can accommodate 40 guests in the Minstrels’ Hall and 100 guests in the Great Hall.
From Easter to the end of October, our ceremonies are held at 5pm, once castle visitors have left for the day. During the winter months, you can choose the time of day that suits you.
The castle has overnight, self-catering accommodation for up to 38 guests.
Viewings of Chillingham Castle are encouraged. To find out more, call our Estate Office on +44 (0)1668 215359 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment with our wedding co-ordinator.
